3 weeks ago Sat 12th Oct 2024

From 10th November, we’re introducing some exciting updates to our North Riding and York Locals bus routes. These changes are designed to improve reliability, introduce new services, and make your journeys more convenient. Here’s what’s coming:

York Locals: Routes 12 & 14

We’re adjusting the timetable on York Locals 12 to ensure a smoother and more reliable journey for you. At the same time, we will take over service 14 under contract from the City of York Council, currently operated by our friends at Transdev, with a slightly revised evening timetable. Service 14 will follow the same route to and from Foxwood and Woodthorpe as the 12 for consistency.

North Riding 82 & New Service 84

We’re updating the timetable on Route 82 to make sure the service runs more reliably.

New Service 84: Faster Connections for York, Boroughbridge, and Ripon

We’re introducing Service 84, which will complement Route 82. This new service will provide quicker trips between York, Boroughbridge, and Ripon. It will alternate with Route 82 to offer an hourly service between York and Boroughbridge at peak times, and off-peak between York and Ripon. Service 84 is provided with financial support from North Yorkshire Council, funded by the UK Government.

North Riding 182

From November 11th, our sister company, Procters, will operate Service 182 to a revised timetable. All East Yorkshire tickets will still be accepted, and we’re ensuring transfer options for students at Ripon School and Boroughbridge High School between Services 182 and 82 at Ripon.

East Rider X45, X46 & X47

New Service and Improved Connections

We’re launching a new hourly Service X45 between Market Weighton and York, running Monday to Saturday. Combined with Services X46 and X47, this will provide a bus every 20 minutes between Market Weighton, Pocklington, Hull Road, and York during the day. Service X45 will also serve Dunnington, restoring a much-requested link.

Buses to York Railway Station will now take a new route after Ouse Bridge, via Skeldergate and Nunnery Lane, offering more travel options into York city centre from Victoria Bar.
