Scarborough Service Changes – From 15 June 2025
We’re making some important changes to improve the reliability and convenience of bus services in and around Scarborough, starting from 15 June 2025. These updates affect Service 3 and Service 128.
Service 3: Scarborough Town Centre – Hutton Buscel
Effective from 16 June 2025, Service 3 will be retimed to offer more reliable and evenly timed frequency, combined with Service 128 between Scarborough and Hutton Buscel.
All journeys on Service 3 will now start and end on Queen Street in Scarborough Town Centre and at the bus shelter in Hutton Buscel.
At Scarborough Railway Station, Service 3 will now use Stop U instead of Stop S. This means all buses to and from Ayton and Hutton Buscel will leave from the same stop. As part of this change, Service 3 will no longer be linked with Services 8, 9, and 9A. It will now run as its own separate service.
Service 128: Scarborough Town Centre - Helmsley
Service 128, which runs between Scarborough and Helmsley, will also see changes from 15 June 2025. The journeys serving Lady Lumley’s School will be retimed to improve overall reliability. These school journeys will no longer serve Hutton Buscel or Rudston, though Hutton Buscel will continue to be served by all other regular Service 128 journeys. In addition, the evening journeys returning to Scarborough will be retimed between Seamer and Scarborough to improve reliability.
