Great news for adventurers and day-trippers! The popular Wolds Explorer 200 bus service is back for 2025, running from 5th April to 1st September. With the fantastic £3 fare cap still in place, exploring the beautiful Yorkshire Wolds is as affordable as ever.

Where Can the Wolds Explorer 200 Take You?

The Wolds Explorer 200 offers a scenic journey from Pocklington to Thixendale, winding through charming villages like Millington, Huggate, and Fridaythorpe. It’s perfect for those wanting to explore hidden gems, enjoy hiking trails, or simply take in the stunning countryside views.

Seamless Connections to the Wolds 

Getting to the Wolds Explorer 200 is easy, thanks to its great connections with other East Yorkshire Buses routes. The 200 links up with the X46 and X47 services at Pocklington, offering direct access from Hull, Beverley, Market Weighton, and York. This means you can hop on a bus in the city and, with just one change, find yourself in the heart of the Yorkshire Wolds.

From 19th April, the Wolds Explorer 200 will also connect with the 535 service from Driffield on Saturdays, providing even more options for a weekend adventure.

Suggested Walks to Explore

• Huggate: Take a 7-mile circular walk (approx. 3 hours) from Huggate, exploring stunning dry valleys, ancient trackways, and vibrant wildflowers in the spring and summer.
• Fridaythorpe: Follow the Yorkshire Wolds Way National Trail, with a 6-mile route (approx. 2.5 hours) offering sweeping views and tranquil countryside paths.
• Sledmere: Discover the picturesque Sledmere House grounds or explore the rolling landscapes with a 5-mile walk (approx. 2 hours) starting from the village.
