Launching York Locals: We're running York's Service 12 from 3 April

We're excited to announce that we'll be taking over the operation of the Service 12 from 3 April, under contract to City of York Council.

The service will run under a new brand called "York Locals", part of our wider brand, and will continue to operate on the same route between Foxwood Lane, Woodthorpe, York, Elmfield Avenue and Monks Cross, with only minor changes to the timetable.

You may have noticed above, but the new service will feature a brand new design, as well as comfortable interiors, USB charging points, and next stop announcements, ensuring that all our passengers get a top quality experience from the second we welcome them on board. 

We know that some customers will already have purchased tickets for Transdev's Service 12, so if you've already purchased a weekly ticket, we'll accept it on our buses until Tuesday, 11 April 2023. 

From 3 April, passengers will be able to see departure times, as well as track their bus on the East Yorkshire Buses app. or on our website by clicking here.
