Pickering to Scarborough Improvements

We’re making big changes to services between Pickering and Scarborough, with cheaper fares from 1 September and extra buses and extended routes from 16 September.

From fares to frequency to Sunday service, we’ve got Pickering and Scarborough covered — which is why this upgrade is just the biscuit.

From 1 September – Better Value Fares between Scarborough and Pickering

• Scarborough Zone tickets will be extended to include Pickering.
• You can now use our great-value 24-hour, 7-day, and 30-day Scarborough Zone tickets on Services 128 and X3 from Pickering, and continue onward on Scarborough Local services 2, 4, 5, 8, 9, 9A, 10 and Scarborough Sevens 7/7A. Ideal for trips to Scarborough Hospital, town shopping, school and college journeys, or onward connections across the Scarborough network!
• Look out for our special £2 Winter Warmer single fare – valid only on Services 128 and X3 until 30 November 2025.

From 16 September – More Buses & New Routes

• Extra journeys on Service 128, giving a stronger, more frequent timetable.
• New extended journeys on Service 3 (X3)  to Pickering via  Racecourse Road & Hutton Buscel.

Sundays & Winter Service

• Service 128 will continue to run on Sundays – after all, East Yorkshire Buses doesn’t take Sundays off!
• Through the winter months, the whole route will also keep operating, so whatever the season, you can rely on us.
