Changes to our fares & tickets from 21 May

Text reads: Changes to our fares and tickets from Sunday 21 May

From Sunday, 21 May 2023, there will be some changes to our fares, both on bus and on the East Yorkshire Buses app.

Like many businesses, we are facing large increases in our running costs. To help us continue to deliver a great quality, reliable service, we're having to increase the price of some of our fares.

The cost of operating our buses has risen significantly over the last few years, and so to cover these costs we are having to change the prices of some of our fares and tickets. From Sunday, 21 May 2023, the prices of most of our fares will increase - both on bus and via our mobile app.

Changes to 24 hour, 7 day, 30 day and Flexi tickets can be found in the detailed list below. Single fares across our network (excluding our open-top services) will remain capped at £2 until the end of June 2023 in line with the Govenment's Help to Households scheme. Some single fares under £2 will change, as will some return tickets.

Purchasing tickets on the East Yorkshire Buses app remains the easiest option for daily, weekly or other period based tickets and group travel.

We don't take the decision to increase our fares lightly, and we know that this comes at a difficult time for many of our customers, but in the face of rising operating costs, we want to ensure that you continue to receive a great quality service that's there when you need it.
