A vacancy has arisen for a People and Performance Manager to join our South
Division Business Unit, covering Hull, Elloughton and Withernsea Depots, which employs around 300 team members over three sites and operates a wide variety of local bus/contracted services, along with a Coaching and National Express unit.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who may already be a Duty Manager or in a similar supervisory role and is looking to progress their career within the passenger transport industry with the expanding Go-Ahead Group.
Ideally, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to translate the needs of the business directly to the workforce with a visible enthusiasm that will inspire confidence on three levels – to our people, our customers and the Senior Leadership Team.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensuring top quality operational performance is maintained and being KPI driven to push through continual improvements
- Providing leadership and support to your team of Duty Managers and Supervisors who run the operation on a day-to-day basis.
- Managing the recruitment, attendance, welfare, discipline and retention of the driving team, ensuring that they continue to deliver excellent customer service.
- Dealing with day-to-day customer care issues, responding professionally to customer complaints and helping the Depot improve further its customer focus.
- Maintaining good cost control without impacting excellent service delivery
- Building a rapport with various Stakeholders both within and outside the business
- Assisting the Operations Manager on other relevant tasks and projects
- Joint responsibility for operational compliance in accordance with the terms of our Operator’s Licence
The post is demanding but nonetheless very rewarding and therefore requires the skills of a highly motivated individual who will make a significant contribution to the success of our South Business Unit.
A competitive salary is offered for the post, with limited relocation expenses considered where applicable.
