Itinerary:
Day one:
We make our way to the hotel with a couple of comfort stops on the journey, then are then welcomed with tea and coffee on arrival.
Day two:
We spend today at leisure in Bath, where we can visit the remains of one of the finest spas of the ancient world, The Roman Baths, before enjoying lunch in the Roman Baths Kitchen or Pump Room Restaurant. Then, explore stunning Bath Abbey, the Jane Austen Museum or the Fashion Museum amongst other fine options.
Day three:
Our day starts with a visit to the restored harbourside area of Bristol. From the harbourside we can take a one-hour Bristol Packet Boat Trip with commentary detailing the fascinating history of the area. Once a busy dock where sailors and merchants would trade goods and set sail for voyages of discovery, Bristol’s Harbourside is now an attractive, modern development filled with restaurants, bars, shops and hotels. The area is alive with the buzz of Sunday markets, waterside restaurants, and bars. Stroll around the water’s edge and you will find Millennium Square acting as a fantastic central hub, with its fountains as well as worldclass attractions such as Brunel’s SS Great Britain, We The Curious, Bristol Aquarium, Arnolfini, Spike Island, Watershed and M Shed. In the afternoon, we can enjoy a guided tour of Aerospace Bristol, which offers a unique glimpse inside the aerospace industry from the point of view of the people who designed and built our nation’s aircraft over the past 100 years. We get the chance to step aboard its star attraction, the iconic Concorde Alpha Foxtrot, the last of the supersonic passenger jets to be
built and the last to fly. Then, after a day packed with excitement, we head back to the hotel for some well-deserved rest!
Day four:
On our final day, we enjoy a leisurely breakfast before heading home, arriving late afternoon.
