Vacancy: Assistant Operations Manager (Hull)
We would like to invite applications for the vacancy of Assistant Operations Manager, based in Hull.
Reporting to the company’s Head of Operations, the role is to ensure excellence in delivery of our local bus operations through a professional, hands-on approach. The Assistant Operations Manager will manage day-to-day challenges as they arise and take an analytical problem-solving approach to identifying and addressing key issues and trends to improve efficiency and reliability, as well as employee morale and wellbeing.
Based at our Anlaby Road Head Office and Hull Interchange, the role will also require working from other locations at key times and regular travel to depots or meetings off-site (e.g. with local authorities) to fulfil the people management and quality assurance aspects of the role.
Previous experience of supervising or managing people is essential, and operational knowledge would be an advantage, but the successful candidate will be provided with appropriate training, including a Transport Manager CPC qualification.
Ideally the candidate will have:
- Experience working within a transport organisation (desirable)
- Willingness to travel in the East and North Yorkshire area
- Own transport (essential)
- A clean driving licence
This is a shift-based role covering 06:00 hours to 20:00 hours Monday to Saturday.
