Vacancy: Mechanic - Hull
*** During the coronavirus outbreak, we're taking the common-sense step of suspending our recruitment interviews and assessment centres. Although you're welcome to continue to send us application forms, we won't be able to get back to you to invite you to an assessment centre until things are back to normal. This means that if you apply, you may not receive a reply for some time. Please be aware of this when you reply, and don't be disheartened if you don't hear back from us until the coronavirus crisis is over. ***
East Yorkshire provides a professional, reliable transport service network throughout Hull, Scarborough, North Yorkshire and the East Riding. We take pride in our large fleet of commercial vehicles and have a skilled and motivated engineering team who look after it. We’re now looking for a PCV Mechanic to join our team in Hull.
You’ll be working on an early/late shift on a rotating basis, and some weekend working will be involved so you will need to be flexible about working hours. You should be Level 3 trained, and a good knowledge of PCVs or HGVs is desirable, but not essential for this busy role. A PCV/HGV licence would also be an advantage but is not essential.
In return we can offer a competitive salary, 20 days holiday (rising to 25 days after 4 years service), a company pension, free bus travel for you and your partner and up to two children (under 16, when travelling with a passholder) within the area, an employee discount scheme for you and your partners and lots of other benefits.
To apply, send a covering letter and CV through to email@example.com, marked for attention of the Chief Engineer, or post to Chief Engineer, East Yorkshire, 252 Anlaby Road, Hull, HU3 2RS.
This vacancy will be filled as soon as we find the right person, so we'd recommend you apply sooner rather than later.
