Our bus drivers are just like you...
At East Yorkshire, we take driver safety seriously. After it came to our attention that drivers were increasingly at the receiving end of abuse and anti-social behaviour on some of their journeys, we wanted to step in and help.
To support our drivers, we’ve launched the ‘Just like you’ campaign, which you’ll see on buses and social media in the coming weeks.
To support our drivers, we’ve launched the ‘Just like you’ campaign, which you’ll see on buses and social media. Part of this, is using our new reporting form below to let us know of any instances of abuse or anti-social behaviour. We'll use this to help spot patterns in behaviour and work with relevant authorities to make our buses safer for everyone.

More about #JustLikeYou
Putting our drivers front and central, we asked some of them to volunteer some facts about themselves to help show our passengers their human side, and help to discourage driver abuse on our buses.
This campaign is complemented by a new reporting portal (link), where passengers and drivers can report instances of abuse of anti-social behaviour they have witnessed. This will be highlighted on bus posters using a handy QR code which can be scanned using your phone camera. Alternatively, you can report any anti-social behaviour by clicking here.
This will help us to spot patterns in behaviour and help work with relevant authorities to address any problem times, routes, or areas and work to stop this anti-social behaviour and make journeys a much more pleasant experience for our drivers and passengers alike.
