- Four nights’ dinner, bed and breakfast.
- Admission to Longleat Safari Park, House and Gardens.
- Visit with free time in Bath.
- Scenic drive with stops through the Cotswolds.
With a comfort stop on the journey, we travel down to our hotel in Swindon where we are welcomed with tea and coffee on arrival.
Today, we spend free time in Bath. Choose to visit the remains of one
of the finest spas of the ancient world, the Roman Baths, before enjoying lunch in the Roman Baths Kitchen or Pump Room Restaurant. Alternatively, explore the stunning Bath Abbey next door, the Fashion Museum, housed in one of the finest Georgian buildings in Bath and the Assembly Rooms, before visiting the famous Royal Crescent, a magnificent sweep of 30 Georgian houses featured as a backdrop in countless films and TV dramas.
Today we pay a visit to the extraordinary and unique Longleat estate, the first stately home to fully open its doors to the public back in 1949. After a walk around the fascinating house, we embark upon a safari and track down some of the park’s 1,000 animals - don’t forget to hide all your sandwiches!
This morning, we enjoy a lovely scenic drive through the Cotswolds. Our first stop is the town of Bourtonon-the-Water, regularly voted as one of the prettiest villages in England. We spend a short time here before continuing our tour, passing through Stow-on-the-Wold and Moreton-in-the-Marsh before heading to Broadway, often referred to as the ‘Jewel of the Cotswolds’. We have free time for lunch before returning to our hotel via the historic town of Tewkesbury.
On our final day, we enjoy a leisurely breakfast before heading home, arriving late afternoon.
